Officers went inside and did not find anyone behind the couch, according to the police report. When officers arrived, they met the homeowner who told them someone was sleeping behind their couch. Gig Harbor Police responded to a burglary in progress at a home on Harborview Drive, April 27 just after 11am. The woman’s purse was booked into evidence along with the check. Officers also told her she was trespassed from the bank and she could be arrested if she returned. The woman continued to walk out of the store and yelled to the officer he could keep her bag. Officers followed and told her that her bank account was now closed with Sound Credit Union, and staff issued her a check with her account balance, which they placed in her purse. When the woman woke up, she began yelling at firefighters and police and ripped a blood-pressure monitor off herself, police said. Police radioed for firefighters, who arrived and provided medical aid.
